My name is Emarc Simpson. Everybody has a dream. My dream is to become an actor. It’s something I really want to be because I enjoy action movies. I want people to think about their lives and change the way they live when they see my acting. Other reasons why I want to make it big are to prove to my parents and to some of my friends that they are wrong. I will discover more about myself and watch as I continue to become more confident. As an actor you can change others views on things, which is pretty awesome. I watch television every day and see my favorite stars, like Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington. I always dreamed I could be a star just like them. When I was young and in middle school I used to take a lot of drama classes .My mom always signed me up in drama groups at our church because she thought it was something I would be interested in. Acting is taught at school because there are a lot of things you need to know and do. However, it is hard for me to become an actor because neither of my parents were actors. If they were actors, then it would be easier for me to be become like them. This is why it’s so hard for me to become an actor. I am now a student at Spokane Falls Community College. I have never taken drama, but I know what a play looks like and what it takes to become an actor. Also, I know that if anyone wants to be an actor, they have to get involved and travel around the United States. In order to become an actor, I will have to complete all kinds of training at the Community College. I really want to start acting, but I don’t know what to do. I just love acting. I can’t stop thinking about it day and night. It’s a dream and I really want it to come true. I have no idea how to start because I live in Spokane WA. Help me. English is my third language; I speak Haitian Creole and little bit of French. I am not that good at English, but I am learning it. I just started college this year and am currently taking drama classes and am trying to get in AFA. I’m overwhelmed and eagerly willing for the opportunity to volunteer or participate any capacity for commercials or movies. According to the Spokane Fall’s catalogue, I will have to complete at least a couple of years of intense training here. It offers an associate degree for this field and it usually takes two years to complete course work. For example, with this kind of training I will improve my speech and acting abilities. When I am out of college, I would like to start my own business or I would like to work with people that already have more experience than me. This would give me the opportunity to continue to learn. I will be happy to see myself in movies because that’s my dream, and I will do whatever it takes to become an actor. It’s my dream, and when you follow your heart you never go wrong. Just let it be. No matter how hard it will be to become an actor, I have to try.
